I'm currently a Machine Learning Engineer at Cerberus Capital Management under Cerberus Technology Solutions.
I recently graduated from Queens College with a BA in Computer Science. In 2019, I graduated from Baruch College with a double major in Mathematics and Economics.
My work currently focuses on a few things:
Cerberus Capital Management (CCM) is a private equity firm with partial or full ownership stakes in over 40 companies in a variety of industries. Cerberus Technology Solutions (CTS) is a subsidiary of CCM that specializes in information organization, storage and analysis. The CTS teams include Data Science, Data Management and Client Engagement, which work closely together with clients to identify business opportunities and create new business value through improved data handling and analysis.
As a Manager & Senior Analyst on the Automation Engineering team, my focus was on A.I., Machine Learning, & Backend Infrastructure. My team worked cross-functionally across a
variety of disciplines throughout the company to identify bottlenecks and implement time-saving measures. This had widespread impact throughout the UM & other agencies with the IPG network
. I built A.I. solutions for the product suite and spearheaded multiple proof-of-concepts for new technology solutions.
As an Analyst, I was a member of the Business Analytics Engine (BAE) on the Advanced Analytics team. The BAE provides consumer, industry,
and media insights to clients, as well as inform internal business units on how to optimize ROI.
The Advanced Analytics team focuses on using machine learning & statistical analysis
to develop new product offerings and deep dives into campaign performance for our clients.
Interning at Orion was a blast. I spent quite a bit of time building macros that generated reports and conducted data validation processes for various teams. My main project involved a media pitch to Spotify. For this project, I built several web scraping tools in Python using BeautifulSoup and Selenium. I also conducted a sentiment analysis on tweets using Tensorflow and NLTK. The analyses were presented to executives of UM Worldwide and Spotify representatives.
At Lampert, I was exposed to a variety of responsibilities. By spending time shadowing traders on the equities desk, I learned about market microstructure, technical analysis, and algorithmic trading. This allowed me to develop and backtest trading algorithms implementing machine learning various statistical forecasting techniques on market data. These were primarily written in Python, making use of Numpy, Pandas, and Scikit-Learn among other libraries. The data was managed using MySQL server.
At The Brandman Agency, I provided Level 2 technical support within the office. I mainly handled desktop issues which directly affected employees and performed upgrades on about 25 desktops.
Major: Computer Science
I've taken quite an interest in Computer Science over the past year, so I decided to take up studying it.
Coursework: Artificial Intelligence, OOP in C++ & Java, Computer Architecture, Theory of Probability Distributions, Web Technologies
Majors: Mathematics & Economics
Coursework: Graph Theory, Data Mining, Linear Algebra, Financial Econometrics, Probability, Analyzing Economic Data using R
I wrote a few articles on Medium about machine learning.
An explaination of Support Vector Machines and how to implement them in financial markets
An deeper explaination of an introductory TensorFlow application
